Job Description

ASSISTANT MANAGER

For almost 5 decades, The Curtainshop of Maine has been Maine’s leading retailer for window treatments, bed and bath products, and home furnishings.

We're seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can work directly with store manager to coach, lead, and maintain sales and customer service standards. This individual should have a strong interest in home textiles and décor as well as a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with staff & customers to help showcase the latest products and styles
  • Coach, mentor, and lead sales staff to maintain our customer service standards
  • Help to maintain store displays and store standards and ensure stock in replenished
  • Assist store manager in monthly sale set-up / take down
  • Complete various administrative duties including filing, data entry, invoicing, or order pick-ups

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years retail store management / customer service experience (showroom experience preferred, but not required)
  • Exemplary customer service ability, detail-oriented, personable, and energetic with strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking and computer skills
  • Fast learner with the ability to absorb new information
  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring and interacting with customers
  • Experience with luxury products, window coverings or home decor is a plus
